PreSwing Ships Real Coaching, Not Chatbot Guesses. Every Tip Written By A Human. Imagine That.
PreSwing has launched an app designed to provide players with a specific number, swing thought, and moment of clarity before each shot. Unlike generative AI advice apps, every tip in PreSwing is written by an actual teaching professional. The base library was authored by Director of Golf Operations Eric Slack and 2023 Southwest Section PGA Teacher of the Year Justin Klemballa, covering the top five tips per skill.
This demonstrates the counter-principle of curated expertise in the age of generative AI. When everyone has access to a chatbot that hallucinates confidently, verified human authority becomes the premium product. The mechanism is trust calibration. Users tolerate AI when stakes are low, but for swing advice that could reinforce bad mechanics, provenance matters more than novelty.
PreSwing built the app with its base coaching library authored by Eric Slack, Director of Golf Operations, and Justin Klemballa, 2023 Southwest Section PGA Teacher of the Year. The app provides a default library voice reading tips for each skill.
- Download a free golf instruction app that offers swing tips, and notice whether it credits a specific named coach or simply offers generic advice.
- Pick one skill, such as chipping, and find three different sources of advice: one from an AI chatbot, one from a YouTube video by a PGA professional, and one from a structured coaching app.
- Compare the specificity and accountability of each source. The one with a named human expert attached to every tip is doing what PreSwing does.
