Expensify built a connector that lets businesses query receipts, card spending, and expenses directly inside Claude for Small Business. It runs on every paid Claude plan and processes requests in seconds. A free webinar is planned this fall, and Expensify brings 15 million members to the table.
This demonstrates what I would call API-mediated workflow consolidation. The principle is that specialized systems expose their data through connectors to general-purpose AI, eliminating the context-switching tax that plagues small operations.
