HexaFlow Extracts 50 Metrics From One Phone Video. The Constraint Was Always The Hardware. Obviously.

HexaFlow's swing analyser takes a single phone-recorded golf swing and decomposes it into ten checkpoint positions from address to finish, extracting over 50 metrics across path, tempo, head stability, and spine inclination. A conversational AI coach called Brody grounds its advice in the golfer's current analysis and previous uploads, rather than dispensing generic tips. No launch monitor or studio equipment is required, which is precisely the point.

This illustrates a principle I like to call constraint inversion. The expensive hardware was never doing the analysis. It was gating access to the analysis. Once computer vision can extract kinematic data from ordinary video, the launch monitor becomes a toll booth without a road. The mental model: identify which component of a premium service is actually doing the intellectual work versus merely controlling access to it. Usually it is the software, not the apparatus.

HexaFlow built the engine and the Brody conversational coach. The project is documented at hexaflow.io/projects/swing-smith. Specific results cited include the ten-position breakdown and 50-plus metrics from a single upload.
