Golf swings now get turned into 3D avatars for eight-figure investment
📰 THE BRIEF
Bryson DeChambeau led investors in acquiring Sportsbox AI for an undisclosed eight-figure sum in April. The Sportsbox 3D Golf app builds motion-capture avatars from user swings. The deal targets the multibillion-dollar golf equipment market.
💡 WHY IT MATTERS
This shows how motion-capture data can shift instruction from verbal cues to visual analysis. Practitioners gain repeatable metrics instead of subjective feedback. Workflow changes from guesswork to data-driven adjustments.
👥 WHO'S DOING IT
Bryson DeChambeau and the Sportsbox AI team completed the acquisition. The app already tracks full-body swings for thousands of users worldwide.
⚡ TRY IT
- Download the Sportsbox 3D Golf app from the iOS or Android store.
- Record a swing with your phone camera and let the app generate the avatar.
