Google now requires labels on AI-generated ads across Search, YouTube, and Discover, but here is the DISGUSTING part: they only forced this on election ads back in 2024 and let every commercial advertiser run wild with fake AI imagery, copy, and video with ZERO disclosure. If an advertiser uses Google's own generative AI tools inside Google Ads, the disclosure is automatic, which means Google built the AI, Google profits from the AI, and NOW Google wants credit for warning us about the AI. The Verge reported on the original 2024 election policy, and apparently that was enough chaos for everybody else to get a free pass until now.

They already know what you search, what you buy, where you drive, and now they want to know your sleep stages and your workout patterns too. I want a REFUND on the future.
